You can even make apron, tissue box, scarf, boxer shorts, pyjamas, baby blanket, microwave/toaster cover, computer cover, TV cover for sale to your friends, working colleague or even neighbour.
What is the market potential?
From curtain to clothing alteration, bed sheets and pillow case, sofa covers, scarf etc. Looks like the market for sewing is huge and on going as every household needs item mentioned above.
You may also make your own label like “ Lina’s Collection” of tissue box, apron, glove etc and sell it in the weekend market.
How to Start Parttime Sewing Business?
All you need to start a sewing business is a sewing machine and some basic sewing skill. ( depending on what you want to do ). A basic sewing machine may cost about RM750.00 and installment payment plan is available. A 24 months installment plan will cost you about RM40.00 a month which is consider very affordable.

Interest in sewing is the most important factor. If you are keen on sewing, then this is the right business for you. The investment cost is very very low, even the business might not be successful, you will definitely save a lot of money by making your own curtain, sofa cover and cloth alteration etc.
